Electric Construction Standards

The District Electric Department's construction standards contain the minimum utility requirements necessary for electric service.  These electric construction standards are based on current engineering practices and design considerations and represent the TDPUD's approved general methods for commercial and residential electric service installations.  The information in these standards are subject to change over time.

Electric System Master Plan

The Truckee Donner Public Utility District (TDPUD) Board of Directors adopted the 2019 Electric System Master Plan on March 4, 2020.  The purpose of the Master Plan Study is to provide TDPUD with an orderly plan for carrying out construction, protective coordination and other needed improvements.  The study addresses planning and completing improvements in the most economic manner possible.  The following document contains the Engineer's Certification, the Table of Contents, and the Overview and Purpose section of the Master Plan.
